Sunday, April 3

11:00 A.M., Taughannock Falls State Park, Trumansburg.
TALL TALES OF TAUGHANNOCK FALLS. Walk with a park naturalist to discover the origins and nature of one of the highest waterfalls in the Northeast. Meet at the start of the Gorge Trail by Route 89.

2:00 P.M., Taughannock Falls State Park, Trumansburg.

2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M., Tompkins County Public Library, Ithaca.
FRIENDS OF ROBERT H. TREMAN STATE PARK ANNUAL MEETING. Join the Friends for their annual meeting and a presentation about Robert H. Treman State Park through the years. The park has had a rich history along its journey from an agricultural hamlet to a breathtaking state park. The presentation will highlight the man who through his generosity created this park and then introduce some of the people who currently share in his vision of this magnificent park by keeping it safe and looking great for all of us to enjoy.

All park programs are free and open to the public, no registration required, although a parking fee may be charged. If you would like further information about New York State Parks, please visit our Web site at www.nysparks.com.

Time: 7pm-9pm
Website: Click Here
Genre: folk rock
Price: FREE
Classically trained vocalist Eleanor Kleiner and French bassist Elie Brangbour are the Whispering Tree. Full of imagery and stories of the human condition, their songwriting has been heavily influenced by their travels abroad, which have taken them from South America to China. Kleiner's enchanting vocals earned her a nomination at the South Bay Music Awards in Los Angeles for "Female Vocalist of the Year." Last year, they completed their full-length album Go Call The Captain, winning first place in the alt/rock category in the Songdoor International Songwriting Competition for the title song, and honorable mention in the 2009 New York Songwriter's Circle Songwriting Competition.
